Giving Back

Perfectly Frank ODU is small but mighty! We love our community and want to help them as much as they’ve helped us.  During COVID, when everything was uncertain about the future of PFranks, we realized that what was really important was each other. Helping in the only way we could, we started to feed the hungry. 

One donor, an angel here on earth, gifted us $200 and we purchased meals for the guys at Salvation Army. We thanked her on social media and from then on, the flood gates opened. Over the next 6 months, our generous customers began giving. They gave funds to Franks, but also gave our team the opportunity to give hot meals to the less fortunate. $15,000 of gifts, thousands of mouths fed, restored our faith in humanity during a very trying time. 

Our staff never wavered. They never complained about their loss of income, as they normally thrive off of tips. Another angel recognized their loss and gifted $2000 to help them with their income. The generous gesture prompted us to start FRANKS FOR FRIENDS. Anyone in need could claim a meal, no questions asked. 

For months, customers donated money to purchase meals for the less fortunate. In addition to the previous $15,000 raised, FRANKS FOR FRIENDS brought in an additional $12,000. The meals flowed out of Franks freely for months and there was no end in sight until we attracted a dangerous crowd. Our board now lives at ForKids where families in need get to enjoy our meals when needed. 

We never turn down a request for help. We donate meals to the Salvation Army, the volunteers who help the organization, ForKids, their volunteers and countless individuals on a weekly basis.

Franks isn’t actually about food. It’s about humanity.
